We use Exchange 2010 and Office 365. I am posting here, if this is not the place to post, please move there.

When a mail is send to office 365 user with an attachment of 10 MB we get below message.

The recipient won't be able to receive this message because it's too large. 

The maximum message size that's allowed is 5 MB. This message is 10 MB.

 
Diagnostic information for administrators:

I have followed the below article and checked the size limit.

I did not see any size limit of 5 MB anywhere.

Still I get this error message. Please let me know where else to check.

Office 365 is having 25 MB limit for users. General limit is 35 MB.

hello Everyone,

I have 4 Exchange 2013 Cu 5 server with MBX/CAS role.

On 1 server Microsoft.Exchange.Servicehost.exe utilizing around 14GB of server memory. I rebooted that server earlier when that process was using 22GB but after 3 days its back to 14Gb and increasing. CPU utilization varies from 6-10%.

Rest of the 3 servers are running normal at 150MB for the process.

the only thing I am doing right now is moving users to recover white spaces and my Arbitration DB is also on the problematic server.

any idea why I see this huge memory difference.

Hi All

I am seeing the below event appearing in the system log on all our Exchange 2013 servers regularly. I am not seeing any connectivity issues between any clients and the servers and no other issues have been reported at this stage.

I am not sure if its related to the public certificate we are using or if its related to the one provided from the local CA.I have searched and found other links that suggest it could be related to SSL versions being disabled etc.

All servers are running Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter. The Exchange CAS servers do also sit behind a pair of F5 BIG IP Load Balancers 

Any suggestions on where to look?

Exchange DB Copy Failed and Suspended

I have two exchange servers on our domain, and the "secondary" exchange server is out of hard drive space and so the database replication is failing, so I suspended the copy/replication with the main exchange server database hosted on the primary exchange server.

Question? How can I move the database copy unto another folder in our NAS, or better yet is it better to create another db copy? Or should I just move the path of the main db and the copy database to the NAS?

Any help is appreciated.

I have a DAG environment, two servers. Server-A has Four Drives C, H,I J and on drive "H" I have two mailbox DB's that are about 75GB On Server-B I have the same setup but I notice on Server-A (the "H" drive) it is 95% full where as on Server-B (the "H" drive) it's only 45% full. They have the same amout of Mailbox databases, etc but I can't see why Server-A is almost out of space. Could it be that the backup is not truncating the logs?  Do I have to move the Mailboxes DB's to another location to get the space back?

Hello All,

I'm getting error ID 1026 in exchange 2013 CU7 OS2012 since the last 7 days :

User "domain\HealthMailbox91a24f9" cannot access their mailbox on Mailbox server "server name" because the user's mailbox quota has been exceeded.

I found that user in AD, but there is no mailbox associate with it. I believe this account related to exchange server. I couldn't  find any related article or troubleshooting for it. How can i solve this error.

IMAP4 Service not starting

Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 Backend service starts successfully, but the Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 service itself starts, then stops after a minute.

There is nothing in the log file of note other than a series of open/close events before the service stops again:

OpenSession

login - HealthMailbox
CloseSession

OpenSession

OpenSession

CloseSession

The service would not start at all if the ports were being used by another process. AV exclusions are in place.

Anything I can do troubleshoot further?  .

Rebooting DC kills outlook clients

Hi All

I have a 4 node Exchange 2013 CU21/Server2012R2 CAS array (Kemp LBs) and DAG over 2 sites. Each AD site has 2 domain controllers that are global catalogues. 

What I have noticed is that if I have an Outlook (2016 - latest patches) session running in site 2 for example, and I am using a CAS server from site 2 and my mailbox resides in site 2 also, If I reboot DC1 in Site 1, Outlook clients disconnect. 

Running Get-ExchangeServer |fl shows that no static DCs have been set for any exchange server.

DNS for each exchange server points to the 2 dcs on each corresponding site

Does something sound wonky here?

Exchange 2013 ECP: All fields are empty

Hello,

I'm using Exchange 2013 CU21, I'm able to login normally to ECP, all major properties are working but I can't change anything because all fields are null (empty)

Example: ECP --> Servers --> Virtual Directories --> OWA --> when trying to change OWA settings, all fields are empty in the OWA pop-up and I can't navigate OWA pop-up fields

The above is happening in all pop-ups, I used IE11 and Firefox, same results,

Missing "+" to add shared mailbox

I have Exchange 2013 and I'm trying to add a shared mailbox. When I go to Recipients | Shared, a + is not displayed to add a mailbox. I have read that this was added in 2013. Any ideas on why it would not show?

Hi,

Disconnected mailboxes in Exchange 2010 server after moving to new database

we have moved some mailboxes from one database to another Database. The mailboxes are in the new databases and working fine but the mailboxes name are still listed under 'Recipient cOnfiguratio/Disconnected Mailbox' with the old database name,

is it by behaviour ? can I remove disconnected mailboxes forcefully but it should not cause any issue in future.

please suggest.

Mails delayed

Hi,

We use Exchange 2013 standard version.

We have 2 mailbox servers in DAG with CAS role also installed.

All users when sending mails it takes more than 1 minute to release from outlook. I do not see any particular error or warning in event viewer.

Please let me know the steps to resolve this issue.

O365 and OnPrem not synced

Only one user is not syncing with their Exchange account, it appears that the OnPrem thinks there is no mailbox attached, while the cloud is fine.  the Fixit tool reports no anomaly, and the sync appears to be working fine.  I can find no errors.  This is my first time playing in a hybrid environment.  what should I be looking for????

in On-premise we have MailNickname (ex: CXKII).

we used AAD-Connect for synchronization but in Outlook the Alias is Username.Lastname.

what should be done so that the Alias in Exchange Online be the same as Mailnickname in On-premise?
