Hi all,

I run into an issue with the Get-LogonStatistics cmdlet. The error says:

Cannot find LogonStatistics objects from the root 'DB1'. Please make sure that you specified the correct search root and that you have the correct permissions to perform the search.
    + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:) [Get-LogonStatistics], MapiOperationException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : B3D0201A,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.MapiTasks.GetLogonStatistics
    + PSComputerName        : mb1.ex2013.test

I run that cmdlet as a member of the OrganizationAdmin rolegroup.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

I've tried the solutions listed here to no avail.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14Bin>ExSetup.exe /mode:install /roles:ca

I don't know what caused it. Everything's been running fine for a long time. Then out of the blue this.

Using the EMTShooter didn't manage to resolve this. The hint about bindings isn't relevant and I even deleted the bindings and the EMTShooter recreated it correctly. But still I get the redirect issue.

Has anyone got a definitive solution to this?

Have almost completed exchange migration from 2007 to 2013. I have created and recreated retention policies in 2013 for my users. The problem i am experiencing is that any users that were migrated from 2007 don't seem to be getting the retention policies ran against their mailboxes. I have a 2013 user that i created new in 2013 and the policy i have set works as expected. Has anyone else run into this. I currently have a case open with Microsoft but I am not making any progress on it with them.

total unhealthy database copies exchange 2010

hello i need know how can i fix this problem

atm is all working good

When activating a database copy it fails with error that catalog index files in failed state

$

We do not want theMSExchangeSearch service to run as the catalog files are growing too large and clients are in cache mode.  However, after we stop and disable the MSExchangeSearch service and delete the catalog, and then attempt to activate a store we receive an error as others have reported...

Cannot activate database copy ‘Activate Database Copy…’.

Activate Database Copy…
Failed
Error:
An Active Manager operation failed. Error: The database action failed. Error: An error occurred while trying to validate the specified database copy for possible activation. Error: Database copy ‘xxx′ on server ‘xxx' has content index catalog files in the following state: ‘Failed’.

Once we enable and start the MSExchangeSearch service again, the store activates fine.

How can we run without this service enabled and still be able to manage the database copies??

TIA

Connection Problems with Exchange 2013 and Outlook 2013 via Outlook Anywhere

Hi everyone,

when trying to connect to Outlook I get the Error "The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."

I think it is more a Server connection Problem. After searching I found many users with that problem but no solution. My guess is that I have a certificate Problem but I really don't know because I haven't found a problem to test what the problem is or anything else to find out what is wrong.

Isn't there a list of possible things for this problem? Is there a way to get more details?

Thanks!

Hi Guys

I'm trying to publish an exchange 2013 public folder calendar. from outlook when I go to publish it give me the following error

The mailbox folder identity ":S4ABAQH/////LgAAAAAAAAAoEFwKAAAAAPUAAAAAAAAAVhBcCgAAAAAAAAAAGkRzkKpmEc2byACqAC/EWgMAvY9C6z7Df0uoy78J0eSm+gAARbBnPwAAAAAAADihuxAF5RAaobsIACsqVsIAAEVNU01EQi5ETEwAAAAAAAAAAByDAhCqZhHNm8gAqgAvxFoGAAAAOTkzMDU4ZGMtOGY5Yy00Yzc5LThkZGQtMTE5NzEyNTgwMDA3QGtpbmdzY2h1cmNoLm5ldC5hdQAvbz1raW5nc2NodXJjaC9vdT1FeGNoYW5nZSBBZG1pbmlzdHJhdGl2ZSBHcm91cCAoRllESUJPSEYyM1NQRExUKS9jbj1SZWNpcGllbnRzL2NuPWUwMzkxYTQ3MmI0ODQxZDg4NDE4MzI5MjQ1MmUxNGY3LUR5bGFuIE1jTGVvZAAC" isn't in the correct format. The correct format should look like this: "<MailboxIdentity>:<FolderPath>".

I've been searching but am unable to find any information regarding the error.

Is there something that i'm missing which would allow me to publish the calendar?

Exchange 2013 SPAM issues

I have a new install of Exchange 2013, I enabled the anti-spam features.  From day one, my server has been sending out NDR spam from "Sender" <> (no sender just the two "<>") to user.ru, user.ro, user.gr, etc.

This issues is driving me crazy and there is almost zero info on the net with this issue.  I find it hard to believe a clean install does this right out of the box.  In Exchange 2007/10, I just have to tic a box in the transport agent.

Can someone help me please, I'm lost.  Hell I even installed GFI this morning just to see if that would make a difference and even GFI is letting the SPAM <> mail through without any issues.  It's just a matter of time before my server is blacklisted...

Thanks you,

TCMagic

Where the hell is the Antispam GUI interface

$

PLEASE don't tell me to use powershell (for anything) I truly truly truly despise powershell.  I'd be running Linux or DOS for the past 20 years if I wanted to use the more "powerful" interface of a command prompt.

Exchange 2007 had a lot of features missing in the GUI and they finally brought back some of them such as mailbox sizes.   Please tell me we didn't take a huge step backwards with 2013.

The web management is painfully slow - it would be nice if they gave you an option of using the old console on 2013 - one so it would be easy to find things you've been doing for the past 6 years and two so it loads faster.

Offline Address Book Issues - Outlook 2013 Crashes

$

Hi All,

Recently all of my Outlook 2013 clients have started having issues when communicating with the Offline Address Book. When I force an address book download, it appears to work fine however when I select an Address List from the GAL (such as All Users or All Contacts), Outlook hangs for 1 minute then returns the error:

The operation could not be completed because an offline address book is not available. Download a copy of the offline address book.

My OWA works perfectly fine and the Address lists work fine in OWA, its only on the client that this fails. To the best of my knowledge the OAB is generating successfully and clients are downloading it.

I am running Exchange Server 2013 with 2 CAS servers and 3 MBX servers (in DAG) and all running CU2.

I haven't found any results online of people with similar issues so I don't even know how to go about diagnosing the issue. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks Christoph
