Hi there,
I want to know which user mailbox is connected to Exhange 2010 via MAPI or POP3? I know we're able to use
"Get-ConnectionByClientTypeDetailReport" cmdlet to get the result, however this command is only used for Exhange online.
Here I want to know whether there's one method to monitor which user mailbox is connecting to Exhange 2010(on premise) via MAPI or POP3?

Primary.domain.local
child.sub.domain.local
Primary domain and child domain are in seperated sites.
there's a site-to-site-vpn between this two AD sites.
Users in primary domain where exchange2013 and SharePoint2013 is standing have no difficulites to configure site mailboxes being showed in Outlook 2013 client.
We have problems with users in child domain unable to achieve that.

I've set the URLs for all my virtual directories to mail.company.com except for owa. For that I've set it to owa.company.com. However I can still get to it with mail.company.com, which I don't want. So it seems like it doesn't really matter what I set it to . Can someone explain this? I would like to block external access to OWA by using a URL that is not in external DNS but it doesn't work.

Hi guys.
Popproxy goin constantely inactive.
We are on CU 11.
We need manually running this command: Set-ServerComponentState -Identity exchange.domain.com -Component PopProxy -Requester HealthAPI -State Active
It is ok for a couple of hours then it goes to inactive state.
Currently we have assumption that it goes to inactive state when Windows server backup is doing backup of exchange server to external disk.
Please advise how to solve his problem permanently.

I have two Exchange 2013 servers. The first one is Mailbox and the second one is CAS.
There is no any problems if I send any messages inside the organization. Also, everything is OK if I send emails outside with attachments less than 10M(approximately). But if I try to send message with large attachment(20M for example) outside my organization it will be delivered after about 8 hours!

What you can advice to solve this problem?
We have one IT admin user that cannot access the ECP on our Exchange 2013 server. This stopped working after we installed Cumulative Update 12. When she tries to login, she gets this error: 500 unexpected error. It works fine for every other IT admin user, just this one user. This shows up in the event log:

We have been running Exchange 2013 CU7 with DAG since early this year and no issues. Last weekend I upgraded to CU10 and now I am seeing errors on one of the server where all the copies remain passive.
Usually I have seen this event if before when we failover and restart the server but now it just comes while everything running normally. This error message has this line "The Content Submission Service returned failure for the document: Document timeout expired" which is different than those message which I see during failover. I restart Microsoft Exchange Search service and everything again goes to normal then after some time again I see this error.
Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus shows "ContentIndexerrormessage" "Failed an Internal error occurred for the database or its index".
This occurred on different database sometimes multiple databases. Restart of search service fixes it for some time.

I am aware of this link but my error message is slightly different as I mentioned above and restart of search fixes it for a short time.

I am having a problem when I am trying to logon to ECP. When i get pass the loin screen the pages doesn't load properly. I tries in Explorer and Chrome. I am currently unable to manage my mailboxes. i can only do so under the management shell. Please help.

I am on migration of exchange server 2007 to exchange 2013 server. Right now we have both exchange 2007 & 2013 running as co-existence server on production, as we are moving the mailbox from 2007 to 2013 server. while moving the mailbox, i have noticed, mailbox size got drastically increase after moving to new exchange 2013. Also we have enable quota for all users in our organization about 2GB per user. Users whomever already utilized 1.9GB of space on there quota got affected when we moved them to 2013 server. Is there is a way to reduce the size once move to exchange 2013 or any other better options.

I have a question regarding the Office 365 unlicensed user, particularly, the Exchange account. Normally, when the user is no longer employed in the company, we usually move or delete their accounts, and of course, there's a 30 days mailbox recovery period. Since their mailbox is deleted, does this mean, during this 30 days, their mailbox features such as Out-Of-Office message, sending and receiving, are no longer available? I've read about the other options such as litigation hold, In-place hold, converting mailbox to shared mailbox, but the functionality of the mailbox while the status is recently deleted and recoverable in 30days wasn't mentioned. In my opinion, the mailbox features shouldn't be available since the mailbox is deleted, but I can't confirm. Also, I just want to hear it from the other experts. I will greatly appreciate it If you have any articles that will support your opinion thanks.

We have an on premises Exchange 2013 server. We use resource mailboxes for our meeting rooms and allow users to book meetings with automatic acceptance, and we have delegates to handle conflicting requests. Problem is, we get people booking meetings as 'all day events' with status set as 'free', and then someone else comes along, doesn't see the all day even, books a meeting, and there is no conflict since the all day event is 'free', then we get two groups showing up at the same time for a meeting.
I've been asked to see if I can find a way to stop it from automatically accepting meetings with the 'free' status, or automatically convert them to busy.
Does anyone know if this is possible? So far I haven't found anything.
