I Cannot move any mailboxes between Databases or between the exchange 2010 and exchange 2013 server.
All the System Mailboes are on the old exchange server. I tried
Get-Mailbox -Arbitration | New-Moverequest -Targetdatabase "Exchange2013MBDB"
But the mailboxes just sits in Queued status
I have tested and script works fine, when executing it manually... How these PS remote sessions are working, because I've gotta feeling that these commands have not been defined to run using Scheduled Task...
I have noticed that Set-UserPhoto requires allways confirmation to change User information, could that be the problem?

I am about to setup a pilot and wanted to ask a few questions.
I am planning a multi-domain exchange deployment...where I am hosting my main email on site with a domain of company.com and I want to host 1.company.com and 2.company.com on my office 365 Exchange online implementation. To do this do I have to define the new domains on my current exchange server and then setup the users on office 365?
one of the things that my user base wants is single sign on but they won't be using rich clients. I know this works well for rich clients, but can single sign on also sign on to Office 365 web and one drive?
I will be implementing ADFS and DIrSync for AD replication and ADFS for single sign on.
How does licensing work? if my entire directory replicates to Office 365 and I only want some users over there activated, how do those I want activated. Can I easily activated a bunch of users for only some services at one time? If I deactivate or delete an account locally, will those changes take at office 365? How does that work with licensing? do my licenses get automatically freed up?

I need an assistance, I have a single E2K13 and mail transaction logs are at the same folder the edb file.
In a maintance window I dismounted the database, checked the database clean status and then deleted, not copied or movied, the folder content.
Then I noticied there was not file inside the folder, even the EDB file....yes, very dumb.
I went to Recycle Bin and verified the logs were there except the EDB file, that had 115 GB.
My question is:
- the Windows server 2012 Recycle Bin doesn´t store that size and then my EDB file was deleted for ever?
- if the answer is yes, can I use any recovery deleted file software to rescue the EDB?

We have an Exchange 2010 environment that seems to have some unwanted permission problems.
To explain, If I create 2 new users USER-A and USER-B (just standard domain users with mailboxes) they instantly have the ability to add each others mailbox to their own outlook client and view and delete each others objects.
I have checked the full access permissions for both the users and I cant see any groups there that would have granted the permission. For this test I even created a new mailbox database on one of the servers in case it was a permission set at the database level. It looks like the permission is being granted at a higher level somewhere.
I know the "receive as" permission also has the ability to grant this type of access, but I'm not sure how to check this permission.
Can someone help identify where 2 new users might have picked up this permission to open and view other mailboxes?

I have a question about ECP, i created an administrator user with some rights (disable Read right to some OUs and mailboxes), when he goes to access the mailboxes over ECP he can read all objects (but he can't do any modifications) i think because ECP is using Exchange administrator to fetish the data, my question is how can i Inherit this user's right to Exchange Administrator within the session
or how can apply this rights to hide OUs for some administrator account but only the OU he is admin
HI, I have a co-existence of exchange 2010 and 2013SP1. We are in the process of user mailbox migration from old to new exchange. When we try to configure auditing we get the below message

I have a question for using powershell to get Last User Access Time for public folder in Exchange.
Only in Exchange 2010, I can use <Get-PublicFolderStatistics -Identity "\PublicFolderName" |fl> to get this property.
But in Exchange 2013, I cannot get it.
However, in following link that said we can view last user access and last user modified time info.

I'm turning on archiving for a number of users in my organization. We are all aware of the Outlook notes issue in that to prevent archiving of notes each user has to log into owa and assign a "personal never archive" policy on the folder. Please don't get hung up on this point, it's a fact of life and not one that I like. If you don't believe me research this or find my other threads on this topic.
Problem is it seems to be a "which came first the chicken or the egg scenario". Users don't have the ability to set the personal policy until archiving is enabled but if archiving is enabled the notes may get archived before the user can set the personal policy.
Is there a way to enable archiving but have the actual archive "job" delayed or manually put asleep so that users have sufficient time to set the personal archive option on their notes folder.

Often we see Outlook running slow when there are multiple shared mailboxes or shared calendars configured.
We have seen users with more 70 calendars configured as shared calendars, once that was added was never removed.
I am hoping to export list of all the "Shared Calendars" that a user has in his Outlook using powershell, and then I want to review this globally for all users in the organization. Idea is to find what is required and then remove them.
I have already tried -

What I'm planning to do is moving all the mailboxes, public folders from Exchange 2010 Standard to Exchange 2013 Enterprise, then start using DAG and make Exchange 2010 as a member of DAG. Is it possible?

bit of an odd one as at the moment as its only one user reporting this problem so far.
the user is saying that the only folder affected is sent items and that items from 2012 to present date have vanished from there sent items folder.
they are adamant they have not deleted them and there not in there deleted items folder either.
they are computer literate so i inclined to believe that the issue lies with exchange.
when they checked there sync issues folder on outlook it came back with hundreds of
"Synchronization of some deletions failed." errors and also "746 item(S) deleted in online folder"
i do have database backups so i can recover deleted emails from those if worst comes to worst
does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do to resolve this issue or point me in the direction of where to start troubleshooting from?

I have 2 Mailbox Servers. I have implemented DAG. the problem is that when I run the following command to see users of a database. It shows different users on different servers.

How can I make default server Mbx1 for every users in a database?

I'm getting the below error message every minute, obviously the database doesn't exist. How can I verify this and then delete this so the error stops?
The Event ID is 1121, this is in the application log.

I have installed Exchange 2013
3 Servers - EX2013MBXA and EX2013MBXB (Mailbox Role only on each Server - DAG setup) on Win 2012, andEX2013CASA (CAS Role) on Windows 2008 R2
EX2013CASA Server has SSL Cert form internal PKI (URL is https://owamail.Domain_Namr/owa)
All was OK and then suddenly when accessing EAC from Internet Explorer type in URL as above and logon as Domain Admin and then just get a blank page.
I have tried New-ecpVirtualdirectory and New-OWAVirtualDirectory as suggested on some sites to reset ecp in IIS.
Get-ClientAccessServer shows my CAS Server (EX2013CASA)
Worryingly
Test-ecpConnectivity -ClientAccessServer EX2013CASA reports
"The specified computer isnt a Client Access Server"
Any Ideas on blank EAC and the above error message ?
