Hello Guys,

I am getting an event ID 2297 with the description given below.

The worker process for application pool 'MSExchangeAutodiscoverAppPool' encountered an error 'Cannot add duplicate collection entry of type 'add' with unique key attribute 'name' set to 'WSMan' ' trying to read global module configuration data from file '\\?\C:\inetpub\temp\apppools\MSExchangeAutodiscoverAppPool\MSExchangeAutodiscoverAppPool.config', line number '275'.  Worker process startup aborted.

Could someone help me please to resolve this.

Read receipt issue in exchange 2013

Hi All,

In my environment ,we are having exchange 2013 sp1 ENT edition with outlook 2010 and 2013 as the email client for the exchange users having their default email delivery to pst file .

In addition to that , if anyone of the sender send an email with read recipient option to the particular recipient who is having the default email delivery to pst file will generate an error message to the sender .

Note : Above issue is not happening for all the users having their default email delivery to pst file but for some users .

Error message : Your message was deleted without being read .

Steps handled :

1.) I have set the recipient mailbox message configuration to never send an read response but still the response is going to the sender.

2.) Checked the outlook versions.

Please do not ask us to have the default email delivery to exchange mailbox and it is not possible in our environment.

How to enable health monitor on exchange 2013.

Dear All,

I ran the BPA for exchange 2013 on one of our CAS servers and received the below event, I need to enable the 'MessageCountMonitor' on exchange server. I have other counters that I need to enable but I'll start with this and apply for the rest.

Event:

The health alert value of 'MessageCountMonitor' on exchange server 'server_name' is 'Disabled', that may cause some special unhealthy state of the server. Run 'Get-ServerHealth' to get the detail information.

Exchange 2013 migration ends as Failed but the migration is OK

Hi

After Exchange 2013 SP1 I started getting this error when migration users to 2013 or within 2013.
We are now at CU5 and the problem remains.

When a migrations has come to the Synced or Successful state the ECP shows status Failed!
If you view details you see the right status. In the report you see no errors, all looks good.
So you you just synced a mailbox you have to complete the migration from PowerShell.
I see no event in the log about this.

I tried recreating the arbitration mailbox but no luck.

Is more a cosmetic problem but a bit annoying!
Anyone seen this?

Unable to manage/create Resources, Room/Equipment, Exchange 2013 CU5

Hi

We have a mixed 2007SP3 and Exchange 2013 CU5 eviroment.
Pretty much since CU3 (first version we installed) we have had problems with resources, but since SP1 we cannot create or edit resources.
We have a root domain and three child domains, all Exchange 2013 servers are in the root domain. The Exchange 2007 servers are located in the root and two of the child domains.

When creating a Room we get this:



Note: Pulsar is the E2013 CU5 Mailbox-server, Panerai is a Domain Controller in a child domain. 

The Room is the listed but when trying to open it we get this:

Watson Errors RPCClientAccess freezing up CAS

I am occasionally getting errors that are freezing up the CAS, preventing mail transmission until I restart services.  Most of the errors I get are similar to the one below, they ALL have to do with RPC.  Using Exchange 2010 SP3 (where did all the 2010 forums go?  couldn't find, so am posting to the 2013 forums, sorry).  I turned on windows error reporting settings in the registry to dump the error log, but absolutely nothing shows up so that is no help.  The information I find mostly points to installing rollups (most of the rollups are older than what I have installed).  I don't have any really definitive information here and it is getting frustrating.  At least this time I got the exact same error at the exact same time on both of my CAS servers instead of getting it on one CAS server, and this time it showed up BEFORE all the systems froze, instead of after everything came back, so at least I could start checking/restarting services, etc.  Any ideas here?  Thank you.

Move all Exchange 2013 SP1 CAS logging to another drive

On my two Exchange 2013 SP1 CAS servers, the Exchange install directory is the "C" drive. I'm doing cleanup on the C drive and would like to move all logging (including Active Monitoring trace logs) to a separate drive. The two exchange boxes are virtual servers and I've added another disk. 

Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Free space on HD after moving MailBoxes

Hello Exchange experts, I am using exchange 2010.

I have space issues in one of my HardDrives, so I moved some of the mailboxes to a different database.

I also ran a script to remove the mailboxes from the "disconnected mailbox" group.

This was all done on Sunday (3 days ago), and from what I know this space will not show up again but the hard-drive is not supposed to grow because the free space will be used.

So far this is not happening, and my HD keeps shrinking. 

I have verified that maintenance is running daily.

Any thoughts?

I'm looking for some guidance on this if possible.  We've rolled out our first Exchange 2013 environment and we're receiving the following event log entries:

HI, I have a co-existence of exchange 2010 and 2013SP1. We are in the process of user mailbox migration from old to new exchange. When we try to configure auditing we get the below message

Configuring Exchange 2013 resource so that Outlook 2013 clients can only request to schedule a meeting

Hello,

We have a regular end user - not an exchange admin or anything fancy.   They are not a delegate of the room in outlook.   They don't have send on behalf or full access in ECP for the room.   However for some reason the room accepts meetings this person schedules while people with Outlook 2007 don't seem to have the same level of access.   We would like to make it so their only option is to request to schedule a meeting in that room - not actually create a meeting in that room.

Throttling Policy Exchange 2013 Search Fails (Set-ThrottlingPolicy –Name Discovery -DiscoveryMaxMailboxes 25000)

I have set up a throttling policy using the following command Set-ThrottlingPolicy –Name Discovery -DiscoveryMaxConcurrency 2 -DiscoveryMaxMailboxes 25000 , I have applied the policy to a user who has search permissions in Exchange. I have confirmed its been applied. I have confirmed that DiscoveryMaxMailboxes is 25000. I run the search, and it fails complaining about searching less than 5000 mailboxes.

Anyone care to enlighten me on what I seem to be missing? I’ve scoured Google and the Technet forums, but the only thing I find is on how to set a throttling policy. Which I have done.

Hi, i'm looking for a powershell command to figure you when a new mailbox was created or mailaddress was changed after a certain date for Exchange 2010.

get-mailbox -identity | select WhenmailboxCreated

I found this on the mailbox created but is there also a command for the mailaddress change?

Cannot Send Mail to Distribution Group

We are running Exchange 2013 and have a problem where users are getting NDR reports when trying to send mail with a small attachment a Universal Distribution Group. The message received back is:

Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

_Group (_Group@mydomain.com)The recipient won't be able to receive this message because it's too large.The maximum message size that's allowed is 2 MB. This message is 3 MB

Why are messages to distribution groups capped at 2MB and how can I increase it to at least 10?

Missing the 'Link' Export To A PST File Under on 'In-Place eDiscovery & Hold'

I have run an ediscovery query and have exported the results to my ediscovery mailbox.  I want to export the query results to a PST, but the links referenced on (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn440164%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx) don't show on my page.

Specifically, when I look at my 'compliance management' link, I do not see a link for 'Export to PST' on my page, and where the down arrow is located.  I only see a refresh circle (two arrows following each other)

Any help is appreciated.

Hello 

I was about creating exchange 2013 .

I create first database but i found it is dismount with this error( failed to mount database  : error and active manager operation failed error couldnt find specified mailbox database with Guid 8degdgdgd-rer6erer6er  ----- please restart microsoft information store on server MBX1  after adding new mailbox database 

how can i solve this issue
