Hello,
I have MS Exchange 2013 installed on a quad-core machine running windows 2012 server r2. I have tried several times installing, re-installing win server 2012 onto the machine and I can't get the software to work. I am using CU6, and have installed all pre-req software. I have installed it using a Domain Admin user that has been granted the required permissions to administer the software. Any help is appreciated. Getting this to work is critical to my company making a purchase.
Here are some of the errors I am getting:

Hi dear
We have exchange server 2013. first of all, we are create new mailbox database, because the size of C drive is low and we create new mailbox database in E drive and this database is mounted and the old database are dismounted. Now in some place we have error like "" The mailbox database is temporarily unavailable "".also when i want create new In-place eDiscovery & hold for searching in client mailbox we have same error "The mailbox database is temporarily unavailable."plz help me how i can fixe this error and also how can i search some mail or keyword in client mailbox with administrator account.thanks.
I'm receiving the 404 error, "the website you are looking for has been removed, changed or it temporarily unavailable" message when attempting to log into the ecp. The requested url is /ecp/login.aspx. We are running a single Exchange installation on a dedicated server.
From research I can see that this problem isn't unique to us and I've found multiple threads about it on technet but I have been unable to find a workable solution. What is strange about this is that the problem seems to be intermittent. I can always reach the login page and enter credentials before receiving the error. But I can get in eventually if I try a couple different things. I've had success when switching to a different url (see list below) and logging in again, but it will take three to five tries. I haven't found a specific pattern, no url will let me in on the first try, and there doesn't seem to be a particular url that does the trick. Sometimes all I need to do is repeatedly refresh the error page. Flushing DNS, restarting the websites in IIS doesn't seem to help. We don't have any problems with the owa.
https://mail.domain.com/ecp
https://localhost.com/ecp
https://server.domain.local/ecp
https://server.domain.local/ecp?ExchClientVer=15
I've tried recreating the virtual directories without success and have confirmed that the authentication settings are correct for those directories but it doesn't seem to solve the problem. It isn't a major problem right now as I can always get it eventually, and I don't have any problems when using the shell but it is annoying. Any ideas?
I need manage edge servers from PowerShell ISE to create a script. I tried the steps mentioned on TechNet, but they give an error due to Kerberos not being usable on a workgroup computer.
Any ideas how I can manage to do this without much tinkering?

Hello,
I have a question about Exchange 2013 Installation.
Enviroment:
1. SBS2003 with Exchange 2003 not active (The services are disabled).
2. All the mailboxes and public folders are in Office 365 at the moment.
I want to migrate from Office 365 to Exchange 2013.
I know that you can't install Exchange 2013 side by side with Exchange 2003.
The question is if the Exchange 2003 is not in use and disabled will I have problems with the installation of Exchange 2013 (Schema, Forest\Domain Mode etc...) and what is the best way to make it happen?
Thank you,
Eran

Exchange 2013 is over 2 years old.
Is Microsoft ever going to release a BPA for their flagship messaging platform that's NOT in beta?
I'm trying to see a user's calendar in the List view, but it's telling me that I don't have permissions. I'm setup with full permissions on all user mail accounts so I'm guessing this user has changed her calendar permissions. How can I restore the permissions to her calendar?
(Exchange 2013 on-prem and Outlook 2013)
Having nothing but problems with this Exchange 2013 deployment, and its the simplest way to deploy Exchange. Single server, single domain controller, on the same box.
A few weeks ago, out of nowhere a server that was running fine, started reporting ASP errors and no access to the ECP or OWA would function. Rebooting didn't help. Restarting IIS didn't help. Only Exchange and ADDS run on this server.
Was recommended through an Exchange 2013 forum to install SP1 to fix this issue. That was a nightmare in itself, 18 steps, 50% of which failed one by one and had to work through those issues. Once it completed, OWA and ECP worked again, but only for 24 hours or probably less if I was up all day. Now OWA works if I typehttps://ffws01/owa and login, but if I try https://ffws01/ecp I get a login prompt, then when logging in it goes 500 Internal Error.
PowerShell command Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus shows ContentIndexStatus as "Failed and..."
There are three mailbox databases, the default randomly generated one, then MBX1 and MBX2.
I am at a loss right now, and have no idea what to do with this box. Users are able to access their mailboxes though from Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013. Just have no way of managing this server anymore.
Hi there,
I need opinions from those of you who've been there, or know more on this topic regarding an Exchange 2013 installation. I have 5 AD sites. Of those sites, only one (the data center) is internet-facing. All sites are connected via MPLS.
Here's how I have it installed:
SiteA - 2 multi-role (mbx+cas) servers. - 2 Active/Passive database Copies for local users
SiteB - 2 multi-role (mbx+cas) servers. - 2 Active/Passive database Copies for local users
SiteC - 2 multi-role (mbx+cas) servers. - 2 Active/Passive database Copies for local users
SiteD - 2 multi-role (mbx+cas) servers. - 2 Active/Passive database Copies for local users
SiteE - 2 multi-role (mbx+cas) servers. - DataCenter/Internet-facing Site - Includes lagged copy of all DB copies from other sites activation preference 3. SiteE also contains server acting as FSW.
Questions:
1. Does anyone foresee an issue with this design should the link go down at any one site? That is, could a WAN failure at one site cause the "cluster" to lose quorum and prevent DBs from mounting?
2. Any advantage to separating the roles given the geographical locations? Do we need DAC mode enabled?
3. For sake of making sure one site doesn't take down the other (since this is MPLS), do we need to create one DAG per site?
Thanks much!
Hello all,
My clients have a problem with delay delivery. If they delay the delivery then it goes into outbox. Here, however, he will stay in and not go out. No matter if outlook will remain open or closed.
Cached mode is disabled.
We use Outlook 2013 in conjunction with exchange server.
Could someone help me or need more information pls ask.
I have installed Exchange 2013 CU6 to be part of a hybrid in-house/Office365 email domain for a small non profit agency. Exchange seems to have installed correctly. However, I cannot log in to the Exchange Admin Center (or OWA, or ECP). The login screen accepts the user name and password, blinks, and asks for the password again as if nothing happened. If I put in a bad password or user names, it give me a username/password failed error. Therefore, I know it is recognizing the correct password.
I have tried IE on the Exchange server and other domain computers, and all act the same way. I have created another account and Exchange enabled it, and it acts the same way all around. I cannot find any error messages on the Exchange server. The domain and forest are at 2008 R2 levels, and all domain controllers are 2008 R2. The Exchange server is on 2012 (not R2).
I have done some searching and not found anyone else describing a similar problem.
Any suggestions?

Hey folks,
I was curious what was a recommended reporting tool for Exchange 2013. Is there a handy out-of-the-box solution for reporting Mailbox trends, sizes? Reports on general email usage for users, groups etc? Would there be a solution that offers reports, but also offers real time alerts, say if the DAG goes down or there's something nasty going on with the server?
Anyway, thanks for your suggestions!
Hi there,
Whenever I go to create a mailbox, group or anything that requires interaction with an OU that has an email address policy assigned to it I get this error: "Error: Failed to generate proxy address."
How do I fix this?
Thanks
Hello,
We recently moved mailboxes (180 or so) from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. We are noticing that Outlook navigation seems to be very slow compared to the last server. Changing folder views, switching from Inbox to Calendar, Deleting items, etc. Also we used to be able to send 40MB HTML emails very quickly. This now takes about 5 min just to open a reply. (These are tripwire reports.) Most users are using Outlook in Online mode on the new server and were using Online mode on the old server
Environment: Exchange 2013 SP1 on Server 2012r2 Standard (6 cores 24 gigs of RAM, VMWare VM.) Old server is Exchange 2007 8.3.348.2 on Server 2008x64 Standard SP2 (8 cores 12 gigs of RAM.
Physical.)
I have a ticket open with MS but didn't really get anywhere after 9 hours yesterday.
Thanks.
