I have set up Exchange 2013 and also setup the Certificate Authority on the DC server to create a certificate and I can create a request .REQ file OK I can create the certificate add the certificate to Exchange, It says certificate is valid but when I try to connect with Outlook 2007, I get something wrong with proxy server certificate, there are 2 issues, one is the Certificate and the other is the fact it is trying to connect internally using http over proxy which I do not want.
First When I look at the Certificate it says it is not trusted even though it is in the Trusted root certificate store, It should be trusted if created with CA program, so there must be another step I am missing somewhere on how to make it trusted. My customer just needs to use Outlook internally and access email from home using a Web Browser, like they did with their 2003 SBS server, which is what I am replacing, they are a small charity organisation, they might want to use smart phone but there is no requirement for that at the momen
The other issue causing the problem is this forced http over proxy mode, which we do not want, how can I stop that from happening, I no how to turn it off but as soon as I restart Outlook it puts it back in, the configuration must be being downloaded from exchange.
