Migration from 2007 to 2013.  Performed all the steps required per technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj898581(v=exchg.150).aspx.  Exchange 2007 has been completely removed from the organization.  Still getting many of these errors although public folders are working perfectly (i.e. mail is flowing to the public folders without bounces or any issues at all).  Any thoughts on how to get these event log errors to stop?

Thanks,

Paul

Get-ServerHealth

Hi,

When I run Get-ServerHealth -Identity "MyExchangeServer" -HealthSet "RemoteMonitoring"

I get this:

Server          State           Name                 TargetResource       HealthSetName   AlertValue ServerComp
                                                                                                     onent
------          -----           ----                 --------------       -------------   ---------- ----------
exchange        NotApplicable   HealthManagerObse... EXCHANGE2013.doma... RemoteMonito... Unhealthy  None
exchange        NotApplicable   HealthManagerObse... EXCHANGE.domain1.com RemoteMonito... Healthy    None

What is really annoying is EXCHANGE2013 is de-commisioned. Gone, Deleted, dead, not needed.  EXCHANGE is the one up and running and happy.

How do I remove it from this list as it causes errors on startup.

Exchange 2010 DAG Member Restart

Hi, we have a two node Exchange 2010 DAG. I'm trying to find out the correct way to restart a single node to perform maintenance i.e. windows updates. Various posts suggest running the start dag maintenance scripts but as we only have two nodes it isn't possible. So, is it just a case of running 'switchover server' to make sure there are no active databases and then restart?

Activating An Adapter

On my laptop, which is a Toshiba Satellite, I've been having issues with the network adapters. It has been reviewed not once, but twice from professionals and it still is giving me the same problem. I have identified a possible problem myself, and that would be the RAS Async Adapter. This adapter is deactivated and there is no option for me to reactivate it. I believe that if I can reactivate it then my network problems will be resolved. If somebody could help me figure out how to reactivate the adapter, or if I'm completely wrong and have a better way to fix my computer, i would really appreciate it.

Thank You

Hey guys,

We have a mailbox that CAN see his email using OWA CAN see his email using Outlook, but CAN'T see his email using a mobile device, I checked the Exchange features and Mobile is set to enable.

  1. This is on an Exchange Server 2003
  2. The Mailbox is over 12GB in size
  3. Permissions look right on it
  4. Tried on iPhone and Android devices and nothing shows up

Any ideas what can be causing this and where should I look?

Thanks,

PS: Sorry I posted it here, but I can't find the forums for Exchange 2003 anymore.

Outlook-Web-Access compared to Outlook-2010 UPLOAD speed

When using   the same   computer running     Windows 7 Pro 32 bit,

and having     nothing else     running at the time,

I can   ATTACH   a    48MB    file to TimeWarner     OutlookWebAccess in     1 minute  58 seconds.

Using     Outlook 2010    it will take     4 minutes and 43 seconds    to  ATTACH  the same file.

What would cause this to be different ?

This is a totally repeatable event.

It will always take  over     twice as long     using Outlook 2010 !

The connection speed is    30Mbs    by   5Mbs.

Microsoft Exchange 2013 Installation issue on an infraestructure with Exchane 2010

$

Hello,

We're trying to install Exchange 2013 in a virtual machine (Hyper-V) with Windows Server 2012 Standard. The problem is that during the installation of Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 CUMULATIVE UPDATE 2 we had an Error reporting us one of our Exchange 2010 doesn't have SP3 and we couldn't continue with the installation.

We have two Exchange Server 2010 in our infraestructure: SERVER1 and SERVER2. For SERVER1 we have the version 14.03.0146.000 (SP3 with the last rollup) but the problem is that for SERVER2 we have also 14.03.0146.000 version. So we don't understand why is reporting that SERVER2 hadn't the SP3 ¿¿¿???

The only difference is that in SERVER2 we had installed Microsoft Forefront Protection for Exchange Server wit 11.0.727.0 version (SP2 with last rollup) and Microsoft Forefront TMG (7.0.9193.500).

Even with all these updates the installer cotinues reporting the SERVER2 doesn't have SP3 and we don't understand why, so right now, unfortunately, we can't continue with the Exchange Server 2013 installation.

Some solution or suggestion?

Thanks a lot.

Exchange 2013 will not run any cmdlets. Exchange was running fine for 3weeks. It just died. Can't access EAC!

I need some serious help.

Here is what I get when opening Exchange Management Shell and attempt to run TestSctiveSyncConnectivity.

I'm running, on premises Exchange 2013, 2012 Server, with Mailbox and Client roles on same server.  I was able to access EAC setup 65 mailboxes and mail groups.  I setup Outlook 2010 from Win 7 client and configure my mailbox with no errors.

Connected an Android and iPhone to the network with no errors.  I came in the office Monday morning and couldn't access EAC or management shell.  I don't know what happened.  It is still broke.  I need dome serious help!  Is there a some type of Exchange 2013 repair tool I can run?  Below is what I get when running EMS.

Welcome to the Exchange Management Shell!

Full list of cmdlets: Get-Command
Only Exchange cmdlets: Get-ExCommand
Cmdlets that match a specific string: Help *<string>*
Get general help: Help
Get help for a cmdlet: Help <cmdlet name> or <cmdlet name> -?
Show quick reference guide: QuickRef
Exchange team blog: Get-ExBlog
Show full output for a command: <command> | Format-List

Tip of the day #65:

Do you want to create a new management role assignment policy that's based on an existing policy, but you don't wan
include all the management roles? Use the Get-ManagementRoleAssignment cmdlet and pipe the results to the Where cmd
The Where cmdlet excludes any role assignments that contain the roles you specify. The remaining role assignments a
ped to the New-ManagementRoleAssignment cmdlet. Type:

New-RoleAssignmentPolicy <new role assignment policy name>
Get-ManagementRoleAssignment -RoleAssignee <old role assignment policy name> | Where { ($_.Role -NE "<role name 1>"
d ($_.Role -NE "<role name 2>") } | New-ManagementRoleAssignment -Policy <new role assignment policy name>
The Where statement is case-sensitive.

Then you can apply the new policy to a mailbox using the Set-Mailbox cmdlet:

Set-Mailbox <mailbox name> -RoleAssignmentPolicy <new role assignment policy name>

Missing Admin Rights in Exchange 2010

Hello Everyone,

I have a little problem with my Exchange environment. My server crashed, I had to do a restore and log off / log in to the domain the Exch server. Now exchange running smoothly, but there is a problem. The exchange server has no administrator. When I try to create mailbox, distribution group or anything else I got the EM: I have insufficient permission.

Admin user has been added to the Exchange security groups again, and set the Inheritance in AD (In advanced view), but all of the Exchange Groups inheriting in 6-7 times, so added the groups by hand and for testing purposes gave full control on Admin user. But no result.

How can I restore the default admin rights (like fresh install of exchange) ?

Can I have a Transport Rule like this? (MS Exchange)

$

We use Exchange Server 2010 (NOT 2013). Sorry no forum for 2010 that why I had to select this.

I need a transport rule so that - any emails sent FROM <Whatever>.dev@company.com should be routed/sent to a public folder called "dev".

Users should be able to use any string in <Whatever>.

Is above possible? How?

Thanks so much.
