Due to some legacy system we have a remote users that are using an IP to access out Exchange server(172.0.0.0/owa). Recently we are finding that users who use the Exchange Server IP are getting a terrible response from our Exchange server when accessing their mail.The the point where it has become unusable. The rest of the users access OWA via a pushing rule on a TMG server which makes use of the DNS name. The major changes to the environment in the recent weeks was an upgrade to an AD 2012 R2 environment. We are unfortunately in a position where we cannot get these users to access the hostname(very logn and complicated story). We are finding that a reboot of the Exchange server resolves the problem for a few hours. We are linking the issue to load as it mainly happens in the day time as becomes responsive in the evening when using the IP. The server performance stats are not excessive. CPU is constantly running at around 20 - 40% consumption while memory usage averages at around 15GB(32GB allocated). OWA is used extensively in our environment as we support a few hundred call centre staff.
