Retention tag permenetly delete, calculate age import .pst

Hello all

Running Exchange 2013 sp1. I have created a retention tag that permanently deletes items that are 6 years old or older. How is the age of email calculated when the emails is imported from a .pst to the mailbox? I found the below link that says its based on the delivery date of the email. If that's the true, then if I import email from a .pst and if an email being imported has a delivery date older than 6 years, then based on what the article says the email will be permanently deleted the next time the MFA runs. Is this correct? I'm assuming the delivery date is the received date ?
