All,
I have deployed a new Exchange 2013 infrastructure. It was first a coexistence with a single Ex2010, which is already taken off the equation.
The scenario is based in two Exchange 2013 server in one place (Site A) and a third one in a Datacenter (Site B). All of them are multi-role (CAS + MBX).
I have setup a DAG spanned between the three servers successfully. Clients are mainly connecting to the Site A by means of Outlook and OWA, and works perfectly. External connections works fine as well. Both connections are balanced either externally and internally by round-robin on the DNS, which is working pretty well.
Trouble begins when I try to connect to the third server (Site B). As a test I've modified my host file forcing to resolve the mail.domain.com to the third server rather than use the DNS. While Outlook works just fine, either OWA and ECP can't connect to the server, as I get always the error: "The user name or password you entered isn't correct. Try entering it again". Of course the password is correct. Same error happens if I connect directly to:https://server3.domain.com/owa directly.
I couldn't find anything around about this scenario, not even documentation. Not even sure if this is something I can achieve.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
